JOIN THE MARCOM TEAM

Reporting to the Marcom Director who oversees brand, advertising, social and communications. Responsible for developing an annual content plan w/calendar that supports programming, but also
delivers thought provoking content through our marketing and communication channels.

Brand & Design Team

  • Graphic Designers x 3 – work with the brand guide and the annual creative campaign to deploy graphics for web, social, email, signage, and other requirements as needed.
  • Brand Auditor x 1 – Audits BCAMA channels on weekly or bi-weekly basis to ensure brand standards are adhered to. Works with brand manager to keep channels graphics and messaging updated as required.

Communications Team

  • Content Specialists x 3 (annual commitment): Divide and conquer to cover programming by type (MOY, VISION, XM, TL, & ED) – they report into communications manager, but attend committee meetings for the upcoming program that are led by the corresponding director. They prepare web copy, email copy, and any other copy that doesn’t fall under the “creative”
  • PR Specialist x 1 (annual commitment): One person who is responsible for writing all press releases
  • Media Relations Coordinator x 1 (annual commitment): responsible for media relations (they pitch stories to the press regularly – these stories aren’t just event driven, they are stories about our members, our directors, our volunteers – anything that’s newsworthy that the BCAMA touches)

Social Media Team

  • Team is responsible for publishing content to social media channels to promote BCAMA initiatives, cover live events, and participate in meaningful online conversations.
  • Support with building social content calendar

Advertising Manager

  • Primary liaison with the advertising sponsors/partners to ensure ads are delivered on time and on spec
  • Works with sponsorship co-director to ensure that all sponsors are recognized according to their contracts and that the sponsored receive proofs prior to coverage and examples post-coverage.

JOIN THE MEMBERSHIP TEAM

Reporting to the Membership Director. This team builds and maintains a database of marketing professionals in BC (and beyond). The team leads the organization in defining the landscape of MarCom professionals and agencies throughout BC and oversees the AMA membership roster, as well as represent the voice of our members.

Event Ambassadors x 5 opportunities

  • Attend 6 or more events throughout the year
  • Promote benefits of BC AMA membership at events and through other BC AMA initiatives
  • Facilitate conversations between event attendees

JOIN THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TEAM

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this team builds community relationships with potential sponsors and partner organizations. The team is responsible for bringing new business opportunities into the BC AMA (cash and contra into the board both annually and for the events).

Sponsorship Coordinator

  • Supports both Business Development and Sponsorship Director with preparing materials for presentations and agreements.
  • Support with networking to bring in new sponsorship opportunities for the BC AMA.

Market Researcher

  • Oversees management of CRM database for the BC AMA
  • Supports with finding opportunities within the BC AMA membership database for new sponsorships and partnerships
  • Analyzes market trends to provide and make recommendations for growth

This team reports in the Director of Sponsorships & Partnerships. The team is responsible for executing sponsorship contracts. They hold the primary relationship with signed sponsors, renews existing agreements and seek out opportunities with existing sponsors to increase their cash and contra support of BC AMA.

Sponsorship Coordinators x 2

  • Supporting with and event sponsors to ensure contract deliverables are met and that expectations are met and/or exceeded.
  • Liaising with sponsors and partners leading up to and at events

JOIN THE EVENT PROGRAMMING TEAM

Flagship Portfolios: VISION, XM, MOY

BCAMA holds three flagship events each year. The VISION Conference, Experiential Event, and Marketer of the Year. Each of these events requires highly organized production teams to plan and execute these events.

Event Manager

  • Books venue, catering, liases with office for registration.
  • Liaises with Managers from the operational portfolios (marcom, digital, membership, & sponsorship).
  • Manages on site volunteer team on day of event.
  • Position open for VISION 2017 and XM 2017.

Event Coordinators (x2)

  • Supports event planning and registration. Reports into the events managers.
  • Positions open for VISION 2017 and XM 2017

Event Assistants (x2)

  • Supports event planning and execution
  • Positions open for VISION 2017 and XM 2016.

JOIN THE EDUCATIONAL SERIES TEAM

This team reports into the Education Series Director. The primary purpose of this committee is to deliver opportunities that facilitate a meaningful peer to peer experience and programming. The Educational Series offers real world skills and tactical training to marketers through workshops and hands on learning. The team ensures that the education series creates opportunities for skill building that they can be implemented immediately.

The programming opportunities should facilitate open, collaborative, and inviting environment, as well as facilitate meaningful introductions and be suitable for marketers at varying stages
of their careers.

JOIN THE THOUGHT LEADERSHIP TEAM

This team reports into the Thought Leadership Series Director and is responsible for the development, planning and implementation of the association’s Thought Leadership Series. The series offers junior to senior level marketing professionals the opportunity to connect directly with and to learn from senior marketing professionals from across North America.

  • Team oversees the development and execution of four (4) thought leadership events that showcase inspirational stories, advice and experience of senior and executive marketers
  • The programming facilitates industry relationships to bring forward thought provoking industry leaders who can offer insights into the future of marketing, as well as historical
  • knowledge within the areas of marketing, advertising, and digital.

Thought Leadership Manager (x1)

  • Liaises with Managers from the operational portfolios (marcom, digital, membership, & sponsorship)
  • Creates and schedules social content in conjunction with the Marcom team to help promote events
  • Manages on site volunteer team on day of events

Event Manager/Coordinators (x2)

  • Supports event planning and execution
  • Supports event registration on the day of the events
