BCAMA Announces Hyper Island Partnership
BCAMA is kicking-off its new season in style at our breakfast event on Sept 24th: we’re excited to announce a new partnership with global digital education institute, Hyper Island.
This partnership will help advance digital knowledge and awareness in the BC marketplace. As a starting point, the high-profile New York City-based institute has hand-picked Tim Leake, the SVP/Growth & Innovation for RPA [in Los Angeles] and a Hyper Island collaborator, to share his advanced knowledge of the digital space with BCAMA audiences at the first Breakfast Speaker Series event on September 24.
Tim’s session will cut through the jargon and provide simplified steps to transforming a brand through creativity. You’ll leave with fresh ideas and the tools to uncover strategic opportunities for change while understanding how you can apply your new-found creative thinking to your organization and its projects.
Tim is a highly regarded creative and digital thinker and is well-known on the speaker circuit, having been invited to talk at events such as SXSW and the Cannes Lions Festival for Creativity.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
As SVP/Growth & Innovation, Tim Leake leads business development and agency marketing for RPA (Honda, Farmers Insurance, Intuit Small Business, Arco, AM/PM), as well as spearheading innovation initiatives to help the agency’s clients succeed as marketers in the digital world. This dual focus ensures that innovation is a core part of making the agency prosperous, and not just something to pay lip service to.
For over 18 years, Tim has leveraged creativity to solve business problems and facilitate digital transformation for global brands. Tim joined RPA from Hyper Island, where he worked as an innovation and creative consultant, as well as a Hyper Island Master Class speaker, to help brands including Target, General Mills, Ikea and Wal-Mart transform their business and their world view in order to thrive in today’s constantly changing environment.
Before joining Hyper Island, Tim spent seven years at Saatchi & Saatchi NY, most recently as Creative Director and Director of Creative Innovation, where he honed his passion for continuous creative improvement and collaboration. He got his start in the industry at TBWA/Chiat/Day in Los Angeles, as a copywriter working on world-famous efforts like the Energizer Bunny and Taco Bell chihuahua campaigns.
A frequent speaker at digital advertising conferences and events such as SXSW, Tim also created and launched the industry-renowned “book written in an hour” project at the 2012 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. He’s just launched HeyDream, a new iPhone app, and he is currently finishing a book based on his popular workshop that applies the rules of improv theatre to marketing.
