Every year since 1971 the BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association (BCAMA) has honoured a BC-based organization that has demonstrated marketing excellence. We look forward to accepting nominations for companies which have stepped up the marketing plate for 2011/2012. See past winners.
The Process
The Marketer of the Year is determined through a multi-stage selection and evaluation process as follows:
Stage One: Call for nominations
January 23 – February 29 – Call for nominations. Companies are nominated by themselves or by their partners or clients, via a brief online form.
Stage Two: Questionnaire completed by every nominee
By the middle of March, the BCAMA sends a detailed questionnaire to each nominee, to be completed by Friday, April 6th. The BCAMA will then review and shortlist the nominees.
Stage Three: Short-Listed Finalists submit comprehensive submission
By the end of April, the short-listed finalists are contacted and asked to prepare and provide a comprehensive final submission. This is the last chance for our short-listed candidates to “WOW” the judges. Final submissions are due by Friday, May 18, after which final judging will occur to determine the 2012 Marketer of the Year winner.
Stage Four: Marketer of the Year preparations begin
Between the months of June and October, the 2012 MOY Winner will be announced and all preparations undertaken made to coordinate and host the marquee event!
Stage Five: Winner announced and awarded Marketer of the Year
In early September Marketer of the Year winner will be announced. The celebrations will once again be held at the Westin Bayshore. Details about the event will be made available in the summer.
