Join Bell’s Vice-President, Corporate and Olympic Marketing, Loring Phinney as he discusses Bell’s sponsorship of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the largest ever partnership in Canadian Olympic history. As a Premier National Partner and the Official Telecommunications Provider, Bell is playing a unique role in the staging of the 2010 Winter Games by providing the communications technology and support required to deliver the Olympic Games to all Canadians – uniting a country, inspiring our nation’s athletes and engaging a 40,000 person workforce in the meantime.
Speaker Bio
Loring Phinney was appointed Vice-President of Corporate and Olympic Marketing for Bell Canada in June of 2005. Based in Vancouver, he is responsible for Bell’s sponsorship programs, the marketing of Olympic rights, the National Events Team and Bell’s philanthropic and community investment efforts. Within Western Canada, he also has executive responsibility for community affairs nationally and corporate communications in Western Canada. Prior to joining Bell Canada, Loring was Executive VP, Cossette Communications Group and lead consultant to Bell Canada in their quest to secure sponsorship rights for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. In 1998, Loring was recognized by Business in Vancouver magazine as one of the city’s ’40 under 40’ for his success in building Optimum Public Relations.
