Movember – The Global Brand Strategy

Tuesday, November 3, 2009
@ The Sheraton Wall Centre

Movember is the largest global event for men’s health. It is the month formerly known as November where men grow a moustache for 30 days to raise awareness and funds to help find a cure for prostate and testicular cancer. What began in 2003 in Melbourne, Australia as a joke to bring the moustache back has turned into a global movement that to date has raised over $51 million (CAD) through official campaigns in the US, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Spain, and Canada. Join us as we learn lessons in leadership from Adam Garone, Co-Founder and CEO of the Movember Foundation.

As a guest you will hear first hand the story of how a global humanitarian not-for-profit brand was born. Using Movember as a case study, you will learn about grass-roots marketing, building brand awareness, and raising money with virtually no marketing budget. You will also discover the impact of digital marketing on brand growth, the integration of social media and challenges faced in this new era of online consumer engagement.
