Movember is the largest global event for men’s health. It is the month formerly known as November where men grow a moustache for 30 days to raise awareness and funds to help find a cure for prostate and testicular cancer. What began in 2003 in Melbourne, Australia as a joke to bring the moustache back has turned into a global movement that to date has raised over $51 million (CAD) through official campaigns in the US, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Spain, and Canada. About Adam Garone
Adam Garone, Co-Founder and CEO of the Movember Foundation has driven the creation of a global social movement that has changed the face of men’s health. To date, his commitment has raised global awareness and over $51M CAD for research in support of prostate and testicular cancer. He began his career in the Australian Special Forces and obtained a BA in Science from Royal Military College and later pursued a Masters Degree in Marketing at Melbourne Business School. In 2008, he won the 22nd Annual Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in the social category.
