Bill Cooper currently plays two major roles as Chief Executive Officer of the HSBC Canada Sevens rugby tournaments and Chief Operating Partner of TwentyTen Corp.; parent company of TwentyTen Group and TORQUE Strategies, two of Canada’s leading sponsorship and strategic marketing agencies.
The HSBC Canada Sevens is one of ten tour stops on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. As CEO, Bill led his team in staging the inaugural tournament that took Vancouver by storm in March 2016 and stands as the largest rugby event ever held in Canada.
As co-founder of TwentyTen Corp. Bill brings his expertise in sponsorship, brand protection and strategy to the team. He oversees the day-to- day operation of the company, and engages directly as an account team member for a number of clients and projects.
Bill is a world leader in commercial rights management and a true visionary. He honed these skills as the Director of Commercial Rights Management for the Vancouver Organizing Committee of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Previous to that, Bill established himself as an industry leader in the commercial rights, sponsorship, sports and entertainment industry while working with Bell Canada and ESPN Star Sports in Asia. To date, Bill boasts more than 21 years of experience in the field.
Before Jelly, Darian operated various companies and consulted for businesses and charities. What inspired Darian to open the doors of Jelly Marketing was his observation that the untapped potential of combining digital services like social media and online ads with public relations could be effective an marketing tool to ensure tangible results.
Darian and his wife Rose have just celebrated 2 years of married life. They have 2 children together: Caedmon, who is 7 years old, and Hazel, who is 8 months. Some of Darian’s personal interests and hobbies include gardening, geocaching, eating, and using social media. Darian used to compete in both rugby and swimming. Now, he enjoys both at his own leisure.
Darian remains fascinated with the world of start-ups and philanthropy. He loves to see intersection between charities and businesses to create socially responsible and effective enterprises.
Kharis is the Head of Product for Archiact – a VR and AR studio that focuses on games, and solutions Recently, as the Founder of HUMAN Kharis worked on emerging platforms such as wearables, VR and AR. Kharis has over 18 years of international work in experience design crafting thoughtful products and services, and prior to the creation of HUMAN, worked at Nokia Design as Lead Designer on a multitude of award winning products. Previous work also included projects for companies like Samsung – helping design their first flagship mobile devices in 2008, and an interactive hardware/software installation for Nike.
Kharis gave the keynote at Taiwan Design Week in Taipei for 2014, and is a regular speaker at conferences and events focused on the future of design and it’s growing effect on success in business.
Kharis is also a startup mentor at the Wearable World accelerator in San Francisco, and advisor to Commandwear Inc and Proxxi Technology Corp based here in Vancouver, also a guiding member of the Immersive Technology Alliance (ITA) – a nonprofit organization dedicated to guiding and growing the industry around virtual reality, and helping build out the community of practice.
Finally Kharis will be releasing his ebook for O’Reilly media entitled “Designing for Mixed Reality” in the coming weeks.
As the CEO of NativeAds.com, Jon has been assisting brands to tell stories online through native advertorial content and video. The definition of “Native” in advertising means to fit the form and function of the environment, where the advertisement itself can stand on its own and offer a value to the consumer. Jon has embraced Virtual Reality as the ultimate medium for storytelling and believes that because it is now possible through Virtual Reality to step inside the world of a product, the Brand and its Customer have never been so close to each other.
