Alvin brings over 30 years of media sales, leadership and management experience, with a proven track record in national advertising sales, leading small to midsize teams and growing digital audiences in the publishing business. He is proud to have started his newspaper career with the Edmonton Journal and over the years has been involved with more than 100+ newspaper titles across the country, including in British Columbia: the Vancouver Sun, The Province, Vancouver Is Awesome, Victoria Times Colonist & many community newspapers.

As the Publisher of the Richmond News and Vice President, National Advertising Sales at Glacier Media Group, Alvin brings his innovative, customer-oriented and entrepreneur skills to the company that is ever changing, as is the news media industry.

He is the co-founder of FEAST: Asian Dining Festival (asianfeast.ca), member of News Media Canada Research & Marketing committee, board member of National Advertising Benevolent Society (NABS) and volunteer mentor of the NABS speed mentoring program since 2015.

A graduate at Western University and University of Alberta, School of Business marketing major, Alvin gives back his time as mentor for their alumni mentorship program. In his leisure time, you will see Alvin enjoying running and playing golf within Lower Mainland.
